Translated letter:

[summary] Bond to B. countess of Provence in 300 marks payable at the exchequer of Michaelmas next, for 300 marks which the king has received of the farm of the lands late of John de Veteri Ponte, which the king granted to the countess. And she has a write of liberate.

Historical context:

A record of one of the many financial arrangements between the king and his mother-in-law. The printed patent rolls give only a summary of the text in English.
